Mag. (FH) Daniel Szelényi
Director General of Hotel Schloss Leopoldskron in Salzburg
Daniel Szelényi has been managing Schloss Leopoldskron in Salzburg since 2013, which he transformed into a hotel after a 70-year slumber. Prior to that, the native-born of Munich with Hungarian roots played a key role in the opening of several five-star hotels, including the Four Seasons Hotel Gresham Palace in Budapest, and the Dolder Resort in Zurich. In 2009, Szelényi moved to London as Vice President and Global Head of Hotels at Kiwi Collection Inc., where he spent up to 200 days a year traveling the world curating the 2400 hotels collection.
In his spare time, Daniel Szelényi still enjoys traveling, especially to remote corners of the planet, and especially enjoys "the little things that make the big difference," which is probably where his nickname "D for Detail" comes from. Szelényi is a graduate of the International Management Center of the Krems University of Applied Sciences and holds a PDP Certificate from Cornell University.
